Testimonials
We ask for feedback. People give it. Sometimes they have suggestions about things we can improve, so we do what we can to make those happen. Sometimes they say things that are very nice, and we post those here.
Melissa Ditzler, stayed with us in 2015 and 2016:
We just made our reservation for 2017 for Bowfin Bungalow this will be our Family's 3rd year staying at Skipper Kory's. You just cannot beat the the hospitality! The Bungalow is well appointed, clean, and very comfortable. Not to mention the view of the Lake and Fish creek from the deck and fire ring are fantastic. Each year we catch tons of fish, everything from Crappy to Bowfin and anything in between. We see tons of wildlife including a Beaver that swims back and forth past the dock daily, cranes, ospreys and you can't forget the chipmunks that like to visit looking for treats. Thank you and we look forward to our 2017 stay at Skippy Kory's, The Ditzler Family (I give it 5 Stars!) Ethan Clark, stayed with us May 2016 and May 2017: This was our second stay at the bungalow. It's very clean, nicely appointed with everything we needed (and some things we didn't realize we needed!) It's in a great location on the quiet side of the lake with a nice dock. Skipper Kory is a pleasure to deal with! I highly recommend checking this place out whether it's for a quick weekend getaway (like our next trip coming up in September) or a great way to spend a relaxing week! Fred Kuepper, stayed with us July 2022: My wife and I booked our first stay ever, at the Bungalow. We found it to be as advertised, quaint, quiet and comfy. So many nice amenities and well stocked basic supplies, especially in the kitchen! A brand new enclosed deck facing Fish Creek is being built and will be a very nice addition. Neighbors are nice, and helpful. We have been coming up to Black Lake for decades and this was one of the nicer places we have stayed. Unfortunately, it was a brutal hot week with multiple rainstorms, and the fishing was way off. So glad the Bungalow had air conditioning!! Bring board games, books or whatever to keep you amused instead of the TV. They do have a TV and some older videos and DVD's too. The only drawback is the road in and out. It really should be a one way road, especially if you have a boat or boat trailer. If someone is coming from the opposite direction, the gravel road is very narrow, hilly and overgrown, with very little opportunity to back up or pull over to allow passage. The pictures and descriptions on this site are pretty accurate. Our returning there will always be an option. Thank you Alex & Nancy for letting us stay there, and for all the information leading up to it. |
